Commercial professions
Reliable and prudent: Handling our finances.
We offer employees the opportunity to work in commercial areas with a high degree of individual responsibility.
Colleagues are used to working to deadlines with high precision. In addition to day-to-day commercial work, exciting projects are supported from here: Reorganisations, mergers, start-ups and the integration of German companies and wind farms into SAP.
In the commercial division, we operate in accordance with various rules (including compliance rules), laws and regulations. A lot of these change repeatedly, so ongoing training is necessary. We largely cover this need with our internal education programme.
At VERBUND, experts work in the following commercial areas:
Controlling:
The Group’s KPIs are prepared, analysed and refined here, and are also prepared as the basis for management’s decisions. Our controllers plan, review and coordinate business processes, business assessments and various analyses, and prepare reports on them.
Risk management:
Our risk managers review contracts from a risk perspective. They issue credit limits and monitor compliance with them. They perform end-of-day processes, pre-checks and key performance indicator calculations, and review daily reporting in accordance with the rulebook.
Finance manager:
The experts in this area handle Group payment transactions, as well as domestic and foreign bank account management. They conduct money market transactions, enter into account opening contracts, undertake liquidity planning, and assess derivatives and derivative financial instruments.
Asset accounting:
This covers traditional accounting, characterised by independent work in accordance with prescribed legal and intra-Group rules.
Billing:
External and internal cost accounting and sales are processed by our auditors according to prescribed rules and regulations.
Accounting:
In this field of activity, central functions are performed for certain areas of work of other subsidiaries. Our employees are responsible for the company-specific sequence of all main processes – independently in compliance with all prescribed rules and regulations.
Procurement:
In the Procurement department, our employees strive to ensure the best possible conditions in the international supplier market. They make sure that necessary products and services for the construction, generation and services sectors are purchased cost-effectively and sustainably.
Communication:
In the area of communication, our employees work on planning and implementing the Group-wide communication strategy and act as contacts for sponsorship & events and public relations.
HR management:
Our HR employees are responsible for HR planning and development, HR controlling, recruitment, HR marketing and employer branding, contract and labour law, occupational pension management, compensation and benefits, as well as generation management and diversity
